In 1980, a Unity study group first moved to the Fort Sherman Chapel. Built in 1880 by the U.S. Army, the Fort Sherman Chapel is Coeur d'Alene’s oldest church, school, library and meeting hall. It remains an important part of USCNI's legacy.
SUNDAY August 13 10 am service followed by a community picnic
On Sunday, August 13 we are moving our Sunday Service to the Fort Sherman Chapel on the NIC Campus. This special service will mark our 37th Anniversary. We invite anyone who considers themselves a part of this community to attend. The service will begin at 10 am followed by a community picnic on the chapel grounds.
You don’t need to attend the service to participate in the picnic. Just bring a summer dish for the potluck. Please note that the chapel is a historic landmark with limited capacity and amenities.
If you can help with planning, please see Virginia Lyon or sign up in the hall.
The chapel has no air conditioning.
The chapel has steep stairs and no accommodations for the disabled.
Plan to bring your own lawn chairs, cups, plates and eating utensils for the picnic.
