November invites you to embrace a season of remembrance, gratitude, and social awareness. Yet, this season can also stir up old family wounds, as you find yourself navigating complex emotions and generational patterns that resurface at family gatherings.

In his first book, The Power of Now, spiritual teacher and bestselling author Eckhart Tolle described the “pain body.” Tolle says the “pain body” is formed from the effects of spiritual and psychological wounds that span generations. This concept is illustrated in the proverb (Jeremiah 31:29): “The parents have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.”

Often, your reactions to triggering events are rooted in inherited pain that blocks your ability to love fully. Fortunately, by observing your emotional reactions without judgment, you can learn to dis-identify from the associated pain, weakening its grip and allowing personal, ancestral, and collective healing to occur.

Join guest speaker Susie Weller this Sunday for a message that blends insight and practical tools to help you be a healer as you navigate seasonal family gatherings and holiday celebrations.
