Plan to bring your family and friends to our annual Christmas Candle Lighting service featuring a special music program arranged by our music director Julie Croteau. We are so excited about this event that we are adding a second service on Thursday, December 19 at 7:30 PM. This second service is for those whose holiday plans conflict with attending our Christmas Eve service. Whether you attend on the 19th or Christmas Eve, we know that you will enjoy the rituals and message of this annual celebration of Christmas. This family centered celebration will explore the symbolism of Christmas in a deep and meaningful way. We hope you will join us.
In preparation for the service, we invite you to contribute a candle and holder for our altar. These special candles will have a specific place in our program and do not replace the individual candles we all light at the end of the service. Your candle can be new or used, and large or small. Just make sure that you bring it in with a holder by Sunday, December 15th. You can collect your candle following the service on December 24th. Thank you so much for your participation in this wonderful event.
Our Thanksgiving Eve Taizé Service is a beautiful way to kick off your holidays. This contemplative service draws on the book THE PROPHET by Kahlil Gibran. It features words of wisdom and songs of love to fill you with the spirit of the season.
EMBRACE YOUR INNER MINIMALIST Clear out your garage, sheds, closets and spare rooms. Your excess household items, tools, nick knacks, clothes and accessories can help us raise needed funds. DIVIDE YOUR PERENNIALS AND BULBOUS PLANTS As you prepare your flower beds for the end of the growing season, please set aside your excess starters or bulbs for the sale.
You can also add you name to the sign up sheet if you would like to volunteer to help with pricing items or assisting with the sale.
1st Sundays | After the service | Friendship Hall Friendship Sunday is an intentional celebration of fellowship. Its purpose is to bring us closer together. The day is capped off with a potluck in the Friendship Hall after the Service. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish to share and participate. No one is turned away. This monthly gathering is an opportunity to join in conversation as we learn more about each other and the community we are creating.
This is an ongoing event which reoccurs each month on the first Sunday.
