Magic of the Soul

SYNOPSIS: This Sunday, we’ll have the opportunity to connect with our soul; the unseen, Divine, eternal part of our self.
FEATURED MUSICIAN: Gwen Gathercoal
TAKEAWAYS: Practice cultivating awareness of those things i.e. nature, beauty, music, sacred writings that delight you.

PODCAST:

This Sunday we delve into Patrick Harbula’s book Magic of the Soul — not magic as in slight of hand but rather the magic or alchemy of spiritual transformation.  The purpose of Harbula’s book is to:

"inspire interconnectedness (Oneness) and our power to experience it"

To assist us in experiencing our interconnectedness, Harbula provides lots of exercises, plus guided meditations to take us deeper into expanding our awareness and the understanding of our Oneness.

This Sunday, we’ll have the opportunity to connect with our soul.  The soul is a word used to describe the unseen, Divine, eternal part of our self.  We recognize that there is One Mind, the Mind of God and our soul houses this One Mind.

Unity co-founder Charles Fillmore describes the soul as human’s consciousness or the underlying idea back of any expression. He says, “In its original and true sense, the soul of man is the expressed idea of man in Divine Mind.”  Fillmore’s and Harbula’s definitions are similar.

Here is my understanding of soul:  Our soul is our God connection.  It is the Divine aspect of our Being.

Our wonderful new music director, Gwen Gathercoal will play and sing as she assists us in connecting with our soul through inspiring, uplifting and sacred music.  Come and be with us.  You’ll be glad!

Blessings of gratitude, generosity and grace,

Deidre
