Unveiling the Sacred

Synopsis: The desire to overcome our difficulties and dwell perpetually in a state of ecstasy is universal. Unfortunately, life presents unlimited opportunities to suffer. Yet despite the difficulty life presents, there are also countless occasions to experience tremendous wonder and boundless joy. What you experience is determined by how you choose to see it. By shifting your perspective, you will reveal the mystery of living and cultivate a world of joy and ecstasy. Join Reverend Michael Moran this Sunday for an exploration of this pivotal spiritual concept.

"It is the recognition of suffering—both ours and the world’s—which gives birth to both compassion and the urge to awaken."
― Roger Walsh, Essential Spirituality: The 7 Central Practices to Awaken Heart and Mind
Presented by: Reverend Michael Moran
With music by: Ellie Holm and David Krak

The desire to overcome our difficulties and dwell perpetually in a state of ecstasy is universal. Unfortunately, life presents unlimited opportunities to suffer. Yet despite the difficulty life presents, there are also countless occasions to experience tremendous wonder and boundless joy. What you experience is determined by how you choose to see it. You can fixate on your suffering or choose to cultivate the joys living presents. Ultimately, it is up to us to love more, play more, learn more and heal more. Then, when life isn’t easy, it can still be delightful.

The choice is up to you. You will be transformed when you learn to overcome the sorrows of life. By shifting your perspective, you will reveal the mystery of living and cultivate a world of joy and ecstasy. This is a goal of spiritual practices the world over and the process offers a life-changing feast of benefits. Join Reverend Michael Moran this Sunday for an exploration of this pivotal spiritual concept.

Our musical guest is Pamela van Kirk. She will be our featured vocalists. Accompanying her is Gwen Gathercoal on piano, keyboard and vocals; Ken Curtiss on guitar; Gary Buettner on bass; and Dagan Williamson on drums. David Krak will be our song leader.
