The Miracle of Thinking, Feeling and Sensation

SYNOPSIS: Have you ever thought about the untapped regions of your mind? What exists there?  How could you use your mind in more expansive ways?  We'll explore these questions and more.
FEATURED MUSICIAN: Mark Soss
TAKEAWAYS:  Thoughts are things. Become aware of what you are thinking and your life will change.

PODCAST:

This Sunday while I am at our Women's Retreat with singer/songwriter Karen Drucker, Andrew Ashmore, Licensed Unity Teacher, will be speaking. Andrew has been in Unity for over 25 years. His interests include hiking, back packing and his love of nature. He also enjoys golf and travel. Andrew started his daily meditation practice in 1971. In addition, he is my beloved partner and best friend. He serves our ministry by running the Power Point slides during the 11 a.m. service and is co-chair of our Expansion Committee.

As we continue in week 5 of our study of the book Magic of the Soul by Patrick Harbula, the topic is the "Miracle of Thinking, Feeling and Sensation."

Harbula writes: "Appreciate how incredible the power of your mind is. How you can process and store large amounts of information, how you can think abstractly, how quickly your mind can shift from one thought to another, how it never stops even when you want it to, and how you can organize thoughts into belief systems. "

Have you ever thought about the untapped regions of your mind? What exists there? How could you use your mind in more expansive ways? We'll explore these questions and more.

Here are some affirmative thoughts to think about:

  • I have the ability to direct my mind and choose my beliefs.
  • I have thoughts yet I am more than my thoughts.
  • How do I choose to use my thoughts?

My friend and valued colleague Rev. Marilyn Muehlbach says, "Choose often and choose up." I love that. She is always about thinking the higher, better thought - one of my many favorite things about her.

The band will be in the house with soloist Mark Soss, Jim Turner on bass, George Conrad on piano, and Nate Parker on drums. Come join us! The place will be rockin' in joyful celebration of the goodness of all life.

Namaste,

Deidre
