The Blessing of Generosity

SYNOPSIS: When you see or hear the word generosity, what does it invoke in you?  What thoughts first come to your mind? What does being generous look like and feel like? This Sunday, we'll explore the concept of generosity.
FEATURED MUSICIAN: Pamela Benton
PODCAST:
We are having a great time at Unity during this month with the theme Sharing Our Blessings.  Our 30 days of Giving or How Can You Do Good? program is in full swing.  It is based on the premise, when each of us offers a special act of kindness, we in turn receive a kindness from the Universe.  Another name for it is: “what goes around, comes around.”

This Sunday our focus is The Blessing of Generosity.  When you see or hear the word Generosity, what does it invoke in you?  What thoughts first come to your mind?  Is it money? Is it someone’s actions?  Is it a way of being?  Do you consider yourself Generous?  What does being Generous look like and feel like?  Are you generous to your self?

Webster’s definition is: the quality of being kind, understanding, and not selfish : the quality of being generous; especially : willingness to give money and other valuable things to others.

The quality of being kind and understanding is the aspect of Generosity that I relate to most.  I love the idea of having a Generous spirit. I love the way just thinking about Generosity makes me feel.  I feel expansive and unlimited.

We hope you’ll join us this Sunday not only for the service but for the Thanksgiving Potluck lunch and heart to heart gathering at 12:30 p.m. Our Board of Trustees will share a financial overview and the exciting upcoming holiday events we have planned.  Please plan to attend.

Our musicians are Pamela Benton playing guitar and electric violin, Gary Edwards playing bass, Nate Parker playing drums, Gwen on keyboard with song leaders Mark Soss and Laura Wineteer.

In the Spirit of Generosity,

Deidre
