Awakening For Life
SYNOPSIS: What brings you into full engagement with Life could be called surrender or humility. Giving up your war with life is a state of great availability. From this kind of openness, you finally realize how smart Life is. This fosters a shift from the mind that tries to control to the heart that connects. That is a state of true humility. You are a drop of water in the ocean of awakening consciousness that is happening. You are a part of the shift on our planet that is happening from separation to true connection.
FEATURED MUSICIAN: Gary Edwards
TAKEAWAYS: Opening to the way things actually are, rather than always trying to make Life be what you think it should be, is the most courageous and healing thing you can do.
Where in your life do you experience struggle? What would it be like if you gave up struggle in your life? My answer to these questions are:
1) I experience struggle in my mind.
2) I would experience more peace.
These are good questions to bring awareness to how and what we think about throughout our day.
As we approach the end of our Fall Spirit Circle study of the book What’s In the Way, Is the Way, by Mary O’Malley, we come to the conclusion that the true power and joy in life lies in surrender and humility.
Mary says, "Giving up your war with life is a state of great availability. From this kind of openness, you finally realize how smart Life is. This fosters a shift from the mind that tries to control to the heart that connects."
I believe this is what we all long for — I know it is for me.
Be with us this Sunday. Together we are building a community of love and acceptance which is important and necessary so we can connect with others who believe in our Oneness of all humanity.
The musical line up will delight your soul. CDA born and raised musician, singer/song writer, movie & play producer, Gary Edwards is our featured soloist along with Gwen Gathercoal playing piano, and Dagan Williamson on drums. Our song leaders are Mark Soss, Kelly Burke and Lisa Sherman.
