A story has power. Since the very beginning, it has been the means for passing information to others. Before we had a written language, verbal storytelling was used to preserve culture, history and beliefs for future generations. Our most important concepts about ourselves and our world are encapsulated in stories.

An engaging story creates a bridge to understanding. By telling it, we share the experience with others. For the listener, hearing a story is a way of experiencing the events for ourselves. Thus, it becomes a shared memory. In addition, through storytelling, a deeper connection is created between the audience and the storyteller.

On this Christmas Eve Day, Reverend Michael Moran and members of the congregation will share some of their favorite Christmas stories. Stories that capture the true spirit of this holy season. Please join us as we celebrate the magic of this special time of year and create some shared memories.

Our musical guests this Sunday are the Harrisons including Gracelyn on cello, Annabella on Harp, Melody on piano and Michael on flugelhorn. Our music ensemble will also include our accomplished music director Gwen Gathercoal on piano, keyboard and vocals; and Dagan Williamson on drums.

Tell your story.
