Turning on the Inner Lights of Christmas
SYNOPSIS: During Christmas, we celebrate the Light of the Christ Child that is born once again in us. It is a time of renewal, of remembering, of re-igniting. This light is always within us — it never goes out — because it can’t. It is eternal.
FEATURED MUSICIAN: Michael Robinson
It’s here! The Christmas season is upon us! We invite you to celebrate this special time with Unity Spiritual Center of North Idaho. Our theme this month is A Mystical Christmas. We begin this Sunday using the metaphor of “Turning on the Inner Lights of Christmas.”
I love all the lights of Christmas. Sometimes I have been light sensitive and it has seemed too bright. At some point during the holidays I experience light fatigue. Too much light! But right now, at the beginning of the season, I’m into it. How about you?
Of course the ultimate light is the Light of the Christ Child that is born once again in us. It is a time of renewal, of remembering, of re-igniting. This light is always within us — it never goes out — because it can’t. It is eternal.
Our musical guest this Sunday is our friend, singer-songwriter-guitarist Michael Robinson from Spokane. Backing him up are Bass - Gary Edwards; Drums - Nate Parker; Guitar - Gary Buettner; Piano & percusssion - Gwen Gathercoal.
Remember our potluck lunch after the 11 a.m. service and our tree trimming party, plus a visit from Santa for the little ones. Come and find yourself in the Light and Love of Christmas.
One more thing, during your holiday shopping, please consider using Amazon Smile if you shop on Amazon, and list Unity as your organization to support. Thank you!
