Let Your Heart Light Shine
SYNOPSIS: Where are you ready to let your heart light shine a little brighter? In your family? Through your work? In your creative endeavors? In the way you respond to the person in front of you in traffic? Where this morning are you ready to let your heart light shine a little brighter in, as and through your life?
FEATURED MUSICIAN: Pamela Benton
TAKEAWAYS: “The light you are seeking is in your own lantern.” Be willing to let your light shine — it is what light does — it is who you are.
You’ve probably heard it said, “Unity is the best kept secret in town.” Have you ever wondered why that is? I have. It could be that we have this idea that Unity doesn’t proselytize.
I believe, however, that it is time for us to promote Unity in our greater community. With this thought in mind, our marketing team had the idea to have a Friendship Month in March with the focus of sharing the message and teachings of Unity by inviting a friend to church.
We have decided to to this. There is no pressure, however, if one feels so moved to ask someone, we are encouraging it.
This Sunday, we’ll explore “letting our Light shine.” How did you find Unity? Did someone invite you? Studies show that churches that grow are those whose members invite others to attend church with them.
We thought we’d give it a go and see what happens. No longer do we want to keep our light under a bushel.
To assist us in this endeavor, our fabulous featured musicians, are violinist and singer, Pamela Benton; drummer Dagan Williamson, singer Mark Soss, singer Laura Wineteer, singer Lisa Siri, and our wonderful music director Gwen Gathercoal on piano. You won’t want to miss this inspirational program!
Please join us. It is always richer because of your presence. You make the difference. Thank you for that!
In loving kindness,
