This Sunday, we will have the good pleasure of officially welcoming Reverend Michael Moran to the platform. Michael will kick off his tenure as featured Sunday Speaker with a series based on the book “The Art of Uncertainty: How to Live in the Mystery of Life and Love It” by Dennis Merritt Jones.
Dennis observes that most people, when facing life challenges, are brought to “the edge of not knowing”. A place, for those who have not evolved beyond fear and doubt, of absolute terror. However, a completely difference experience exists for those who embrace the adventure and opportunity the future provides. Developing this shift in perspective requires intention. The Art of Uncertainty is about learning to use our time spent in this Earth School wisely. As we make living in the mystery a daily practice, we prepare ourselves to embrace uncertainty and discover that life is a journey we can learn to love.
The truths expressed in Dennis’s book have been taught by master teachers throughout the ages. These wisdom teachings demonstrate how to overcome our self-imposed limits and lean into the unknown field of infinite possibilities. Join Reverend Michael as we take another look at the power of shifting perspective and embracing the mystery of life no matter what is happening.
Our guest musician this week is community favorite Michael Robinson. Michael has a unique and playful style which is reflected in everything he does. You can see and hear it in the original music he writes and sings. Michael will be accompanied by our multi-talented music director Gwen Gathercoal on piano, keyboard and vocals; along with vocalist and guitarist Gary Buettner and drummer Nick Halpin.
Also, please make a note of our Summer Service Schedule. Starting Sunday, June 18, we will be moving to a single 10 am service. Our normal service schedule will resume on September 3.
Be fearless today. See you Sunday.
