Join us for week five of our series focused on our mission to Live Love and Uplift Lives. Through this series Reverend James Kress is reminding us of who we are, why we exist, and how we can continue to grow together in love and service.
Last Sunday, Reverend James Kress introduced the topic of finding love in religion. He spoke about the basic etymologies of spirituality and religion and elaborated on the concept of the mystical experience. A mystical experience is a profound, often transformative moment in which you feel deeply connected to something greater than yourself—whether that's the universe, the divine, or a sense of ultimate reality. Reverend Kress said that the mystical experience keeps religion alive and spiritual. Whereas, without the mystical experience, religion turns irreligious and irrelevant.
