Anthropologist and columnist Jennifer James once said, “Success is not a destination that you ever reach. Success is the quality of your journey.” In other words, success is not found so much in getting there as it is in internalizing the nature of the experience. Certainly, reaching the destination is a form of achievement. However, the real success is in finding the meaning in what you experience and learning from it. That is the true purpose of the journey process. Whatever you experience externally reflects what is going on inside your consciousness. Understanding this dynamic is the key to navigating the inner journey through the outer one.
