One of the great mistakes you make around the topic of communication is thinking it is an easy, straightforward process. You likely take this assumption a step further by assuming you’re naturally good at it, while thinking that others are not. Consequently, when communication problems arise, you are likely to shirk responsibility.

In reality, you are equally responsible for any communication problems that arise. Like everyone, you simultaneously function as a transceiver and receiver. Therefore, you send and receive information constantly, whether you are aware of it or not. The point is effective communication takes effort. You get better at communicating when you employ that effort after meaning.

Join Reverend Dennis Ashley, this Sunday for a lesson that will enhance your communication relationship whether you are engaging with God or with other people.  And through it all, let's remember to be curious rather than rushing to judgment.
