Without the spiritual influence of the heart, the mind tends to operate from an instinct of survival. At its worst, the mind driven life is fraught with anxiety, stress, and self-deception. In other words, it is empty, lacking meaning or joy.

Put another way, images created by a mind without the connection of the heart feel empty, dark, and unsatisfying. While the same exact images created by a mind and heart will be filled with the qualities of love, light, and truth.

It is like the feeling you experience when you fall in love. In love, foods taste better, the sun shines brighter, people smile at you more often, and life is very good. The point is that these life affirming feelings are always available to you through a heart-mind connection.

Join Guest Speaker Amber Boren this Sunday for a lesson exploring what it means to live in heart-mind alignment and how a heart-centered existence deepens the relationship with self, others, and the Divine.

Our featured ensemble is our Unity Choir Singers with Music Director Julie Croteau. They will be accompanied by LeeAnn Aerlyn-Moore and Judith Pinkerton.
