The disciples could see that somehow Jesus had an extraordinary connection with God through the power of prayer and they wanted that same connection. So, they had a straightforward request: "Master, please teach us to pray."

And, speaking from the Christ Consciousness, Jesus responded with something like, "Don't fall for that nonsense of the Pharisees or the Sadducees who pray for show. Because after all, this is your Father you are dealing with, and he knows better than you what you need." And then Jesus countered with The Lord's Prayer, one of the most famous passages in the Bible.

Reverend Dennis will break down the meaning of this powerful invocation in both Aramaic (Jesus’s spoken language) and in English. This will be a deeply moving service so we hope you can be there.
