This Sunday, September 12, we will feature Susie Weller as our guest speaker. Many of you already know Susie and appreciate her ability to explain and inspire. This week, she will tie together a complex web of topics around a common theme of prayer.

Unity’s World Day of Prayer is on September 8 and 9. The theme was “No matter the circumstances, all is well with my soul.” The month of September also includes the Jewish New Year celebration Rosh Hashanah on September 6-8, and Saturday, September 11 is the 20th Anniversary of the 9-11 attacks. In addition, Grandparent’s Day falls on September 12, and the Jewish Day of Atonement Yom Kippur is celebrated on September 15 and 16.

At the root of all these days of remembrance is prayer. Prayer is comforting and inspiring. It holds the power to center, strengthen, and enable you to be peaceful amid any situation.

Susie will also introduce our next SpiritGroup series. The new series is based on a book BREATHING UNDER WATER: Spirituality and the 12 Steps by Father Richard Rohr. Rohr’s book shows how the gospel principles in the Twelve Steps can free anyone from any obsessive compulsion.

Join Susie this Sunday for an inspiring lesson on how prayer empowers you to see light in the darkness.

You can join us in person at 10AM or watch the service on our live stream feed.

Our featured vocalist is Julie Croteau. LeeAnn Aerlyn-Moore, Randy Clark, and Dagan Williamson. Julie will be our song leader.
