Rev. James Kress, DD, is a Staff Minister at the Center for Spiritual Living in Seattle, where has has served for the last six years. Prior to that, James served as a pastor in the evangelical Christian tradition for 28 years, where he served at a large community and co-founded another large community. He has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington, a Master’s degree from Liberty University, and a Doctor of Divinity degree from Emerson Theological Institute. He is a regular speaker at the Unity Center for Positive Living in Everett, Washington. He specializes in helping people heal religious trauma, coaching and guiding people to their inner love, light, and wisdom. Recently trained in somatic psychology, James utilizes experiential techniques that help people connect, and reconnect, to their true self and purpose. He believes Your Way is The Way. James has three grown children and two grandchildren, with a third grandchild on the way. Having lived in Seattle for 53 years, James loves fitness and anything outdoors, especially skiing, hiking, and golf.
