Todd Neel is a retired social worker with a Master of Social Work from Eastern Washington University (Go Eagles!) and a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Montana (Go Grizzlies!). A devoted fan of Gonzaga men’s basketball (Go Zags!), Todd has long embraced both academia and community.
His Unity Journey began in 1985 at the South Hill Church in Spokane led by Rev. Jim Rosemergy. In 1987, Todd started attending Unity services led by Rev. Marilyn Meuhlbach at the historic Fort Sherman Chapel in Coeur d’Alene. Rev. Meuhlbach later officiated Todd and Mary’s wedding at the Jewett House on Lake Coeur d’Alene in 1989.
Todd is the proud father of Nathan and Josh, now in their early 30s and living in California and Oregon respectively. Both sons were raised with Unity principles and active in Youth Ed program where Todd supported their spiritual growth.
Beyond his deep commitment to Unity, Todd is an engaged volunteer, contributing in every way he can—from lawn care and forestry work to campfire gatherings, committees, and Board service. Having witnessed the evolution of Unity Church of North Idaho into Unity Center of Spiritual Growth under various leaders, Todd remains devoted to its spirit and mission.
For Todd, Unity is more than a spiritual center—it’s a chosen family, a spiritual heartbeat that continues to enrich his life.
