During the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln was asked whether God was on his side. He replied, “Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right.” As we mark our nation’s 250th anniversary and honor those who gave their lives in its service, we will reflect on America’s story and how we, as a people, relate to God. In connection with our theme of Exploring the Christ Way, Reverend James will offer reflections to help you consider the question, “Is America a Christian nation?”
Join Reverend James Kress on Sunday for a message that invites you to reflect on America’s relationship with God and whether America can be understood as a Christian nation.
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are warmly welcome to join us.
You can attend in person or online. To watch this service live, click this Livestream link at 10:00 AM on Sunday, July 5.
Our music ensemble features The Unity Singers on vocals. They will be accompanied by Rita Huber on piano, Jim Turner on bass, and Stephen Croteau on drums. Julie Croteau will serve as choir director.
