People sometimes ask, “What do we stand for at Unity?” The answer is woven into the way we close our Sunday services. Each week we rise together and sing, “Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.” Followed by our Closing Prayer which ends with the simple but powerful affirmation, “Wherever we are, God is, and all is well.”
These aren’t just words we recite—they’re the heart of our spiritual path. They remind us that peace is not something we wait for; it’s something we practice, cultivate, and embody.
This Sunday, we’ll take a deeper look at the path of inner peace. It’s a beautiful path, but not an easy one. True inner peace asks us to be honest, courageous, and willing to grow. It encourages us to soften where we’ve hardened, to listen where we’ve been close-minded, and to trust that the presence of God is within us even when life feels closed off and chaotic.
And most importantly, it asks us to walk this path together. None of us is meant to do this alone. Community is where peace takes root.
